Try your hand at a geo-caching adventure or a nature hike through the woods. One of the best ways to explore the 12 unique communities of Vilas County is on two wheels. And one of the finest routes for two-wheeled travelers is the Heart of Vilas County Paved Bike Trail System. In total, riders can explore 45 miles of paved trails connecting St. Germain, Sayner, Boulder Junction and Manitowish Waters.

In Summer, enjoy swimming, water skiing, tubing and an array of water sports on hundreds of area lakes. Our 1300 freshwater lakes play host to a wide variety of fish whether for sport, trophy or just plain family fun.

 

In Winter, snowmobile right from your door to hundreds of miles on the Snowmobile Trail System. A ride through the pristine forests of Vilas County provides a unique experience! Or enjoy great snowshoeing or cross country skiing on the many groomed trails in the area. Our lakes offer excellent ice fishing!  Or join us for many of the area's events like the Snowmobile Derby, Radar Run, Pond Hockey Tournament.
